On Wednesday, the former Celebrity Big Brother contestant spoke to the hosts of This Morning – Holly Willouhby and Phillip Schofield – about his continuing paternity battle with ex-girlfriend Stephanie. She had their baby son Caben-Albi on January 13th, and he’s still looking for answers.
Jeremy was live on air when he took the DNA test with assistance from AlphaBiolabs DNA Testing. You might recognise this as the company used in the Jeremy Kyle Show, too.
A swab from Jeremy was taken at 9am at the This Morning Studios, and the results will be available within 24 hours as soon as a sample is also taken from Caben… If Steph is willing to let that happen, that is.
Jeremy said to the hosts, “I’ve never once said I wasn’t the father, I’m not fame hungry.
“I want to set the record straight, I just said there was a month from April to May I didn’t know about, and I want reassurance.
“When she makes it public it has to be dealt with, I have to defend myself.
“I hope I am the dad. People are thinking that I’m a bad person, thinking I won’t step up – and I would.”
“I want to be a dad and I want to stand up [and be there for Caben], but I’m not being given the opportunity.”
Since they ended their relationship in April last year, Jeremy and Steph have been at odds with one another over the baby drama. After nine months of silence between them, he begged the former Hollyoaks actress to stop playing games and tell him if he is the father of baby Caben-Albi.
“I do believe I am the father.” He said, “I want the baby to be mine, I can see a resemblance.”

“I never said the baby wasn’t mine, all I said was that there was a doubt because she was with other men in the first two weeks of April.
“Before we went to Cape Verde, we were broken up for two weeks – and I have no idea who she was sleeping with then.”
Other doubts arose in his mind as he claims that Steph would contact him rub the fact that she slept with other men in his face. However, he also accepts that he wasn’t an angel, either.
According to Jeremy, their relationship took a turn for the worse only weeks after they left the Celebrity Big Brother house, where they fell in love publicly for everyone to see – even Sam Reece, Steph’s boyfriend of the time.
After the show, Jeremy being a reality TV sex symbol didn’t sit well with Stephanie, and the couple had many rows over jealousy. “Emotional blackmail” started to pry them apart.
In Basingstoke on April 29, the couple split. It would be the last time they saw one another, though Steph informed Jeremy of her pregnancy a month after they broke up.
He said that he was “delighted” and “buzzing” to find out that he was going to be a father.
“I told her I loved her and I would be there for her.
My initial reaction was to go straight to her… But I didn’t.
“Maybe I regret it a little now, but I know I’ve done the right thing.
“Things were so bad between us that going back to her could have been harmful for her and the baby.
“I loved her so much, I didn’t want to take that risk.”
